DealsOfDream (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use DealsOfDream in the United States, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process your personal data in accordance with applicable US federal and state privacy laws.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account registration — name, email address, and country when you create an account.
  • Newsletter sign-up — email address and optional category preferences when you subscribe.
  • Cashback claims — order details (order number, purchase amount, date) that you submit to verify a claim.
  • Communications — any messages you send us by email or contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, deals clicked, search queries, and time spent on each page.
  • Device and browser — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4 below.
  • Referral source — the URL that brought you to DealsOfDream (e.g., a search engine or social link).

Information from third parties

  • Affiliate networks — when you make a purchase through one of our affiliate links, our affiliate partners may share a transaction ID or order confirmation with us so we can verify and credit your cashback.
  • Social login — if you sign in via Google or another provider, we receive only the name and email address that provider shares with us.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the platform and display deals, coupons, and cashback offers relevant to the United States.
  • Create and maintain your account, including saved deals and cashback history.
  • Process and pay cashback claims.
  • Send you the newsletter and deal alerts you have opted into. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
  • Personalise your experience — for example, showing more deals in categories you prefer.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, including cashback abuse.
  • Improve the site through aggregate analytics (no individual profiling for advertising).
  • Comply with our legal obligations under applicable US federal and state privacy laws.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not build advertising profiles or share your data with ad networks.

3. How we justify processing your data

We process your personal data on the following grounds:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the services you signed up for, including account management and cashback.
  • Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, platform security, and aggregate analytics that do not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent — newsletter and deal-alert emails; cookie categories beyond strictly necessary. You may withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or through your browser cookie settings.

4. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary — session management, authentication tokens, and security cookies. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional — remembering your country preference, currency, and display settings.
  • Analytics — aggregate, anonymised traffic data to help us understand which pages and deals are most useful. No individual profiling.
  • Affiliate tracking — cookies set by our affiliate partner networks when you click a deal link. These allow the retailer and affiliate network to attribute a sale back to DealsOfDream so we can credit your cashback. We do not control these cookies — see the retailer’s own privacy policy for details.

You can manage or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner at any time.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers acting under our instructions and bound by data-processing agreements.
  • Affiliate networks — we share a click identifier with affiliate networks to track transactions and process cashback. No personally identifiable information such as your name or email is sent to retailers.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or a legitimate request from a regulatory authority in the United States.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to the successor entity under the same privacy commitments.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained until you delete your account.
  • Cashback records are retained for seven years for tax and audit purposes.
  • Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request erasure of your data. You can also delete your account directly from Settings → Security.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection or restriction — object to certain uses or ask us to restrict processing while a dispute is resolved.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, email [email protected].

8. Children’s privacy

DealsOfDream is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable US state breach-notification laws.

10. Links to other sites

DealsOfDream contains links to retailer websites. Once you leave our site, this privacy policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of DealsOfDream after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
